HOPE

Fred Bare supported 'HOPE For Orphans Japan' in mid July, a spectacular fundraising event at the eponymous Tokonoma, Sydney in July held to raise $30 000 for Japanese children's orphanage; Ichi no Seki Fuji no Sono ('to the garden with the wisteria covered gate'). We happily supplied an exclusive $1000 Fred Bare wardrobe to be auctioned on the night!

A selected group of esteemed Australian designers, performers and creatives were the faces for the event, lending their visions to raise money for the HOPE cause.

Ambassadors for HOPE:
Liam Neeson, Akira Isogawa, Bryan Brown, Sam Neil, Yohji Yamamoto, Billy Birmingham, Glenn Shorrock, Jimmy Barnes, Diesel, George Gregan, Sir Justin Davis

Special Guests on the night included:
Camilla & Mark, Fernando Frisoni, Hugo Weaving, Richard Roxbourgh, Deborah Hutton
The night saw $80 000 raised for orphanages in Japan, through selling Akira Isogawa designed t-shirts to the A-list crowd, auctioning rare chances to visit Liam Neeson in New York and the opportunity to buy Japanese children a hat fitted with a torch for safety at night; as well as silent auctions that continued on after the night. As the committee dreamt to raise $30 000, the actual amount of $80 000 has enabled HOPE to build another two orphanages for the children in affected areas!
We had an absolute ball on the night and are still getting goosebumps weeks after, knowing that we've helped to raise an incredible amount of money to help the children in Japan, devastated by the Earthquake!

Please help us more by donating to HOPE,  helping orphaned children in Japan live with safety, care and hope.
